Sooo people who rent... when you're thinking of moving apts but you have to give 60 days notice but probably things are only gonna be available much sooner than 60 days wyd

because they are raising my rent again and I dislike this place 8D

I can't speak for everyone, but at least 60 days gives you time to find somewhere and move into there. that's why moving typically costs so much... you end up having to owe more than one place rent and set up the bills.
Gemini
it's rough but yeah - giving notice isn't the same as vacating, giving 60 days notice gives you 2 months to find a new place. nerve-wracking if you think you won't find something cheaper in that time frame but manageable.
ฯ‰ั—โ„“โ„“รธฯ‰
that's a lot...
๐”ฏ๐”ž๐”ฆ๐”ซ๐”Ÿ๐”ฌ๐”ด ๐”ญ๐”ฆ๐”ฏ๐”ž๐” ๐‘ฆ~
but it's a townhouse with two bedrooms and not paying 1100 for a shitty one bedroom
ฯ‰ั—โ„“โ„“รธฯ‰
but location is everything
Gemini
oh yeah, there's v much a balance there
Gemini
why pay as much for a craphole as you would for someplace better is definitely importantt
Gemini
as long as you're not settling just to escape high prices, that's how me and Rose ended up in the townhouse from hell
ฯ‰ั—โ„“โ„“รธฯ‰
sorta same here. my bf and I were renting from his sister in law and now we're in a single wide we were forced to buy in order to vacate so her mom could move in... it wasn't a horrible house (even though it was ugly lol)
Gemini
yikes

maybe in a couple years I'll figure out if I can get a cost of living raise

honestly I hope you can. housing shouldn't be as expensive as it is
ฯ‰ั—โ„“โ„“รธฯ‰
which is understandable. there are a lot of companies buying properties and doing nothing to keep them updated or looked after at all. my friend had that problem. she never knew who to send the money to because the building changed hands every couple months
