Well it is Fallen London, and I do know the setting a bit and how odd it can be.

and we ARE running track over very dangerous terrain, to be fair

the whole reason the railway is such a big deal is that the further west of London (and thus closer to Hell) you get, the more dangerous it is

so I GUESS I can understand the workers being resentful of Londoners taking the train getting a nice cushy ride after they put in the hard and miserable work of laying the track

but still. I mean. benches.
