I'm still really conflicted on the whole Ishmelga thing but I've played enough JRPGs to know it always ends with some evil cosmic entity born from human malice or something
still sittin' with my mcburn theories not knowing if anything in the future games debunks them and afraid to voice them in case someone swings in and does so
I didn't hate CS4 at all but it was really long and some plot points were contrived, but I'm very satisfied with the ending... Rean finally gets a break (for now)
i like CS2 a lot better than a lot of the fandom, so I'm semi-with you on that. I had some issues with how the old Class VII were handled in the second half, but I actually think I like the new Class VII better as a group, they seemed to get like. A better more evenly spread amount of development I felt, so the second half ends up a bit higher for me
CS1 was the awkward start... Some of my issues was how some of the conflicts with Old Class VII felt forced like Fie vs. Laura and the characters are at the most cookie cutter but I'd still replay it through
CS3 was like a CS1 remake and it answered a lot of my issues with CS1 with having a smaller group that are more intertwined with the deeper plot, having Rean as a teacher was really neat, the graphics are better and the ending is HOLY SHIT WHAT
CS2 is my absolute favorite... It did have some issues but I adored the start of Rean having to build himself back up from nothing, gathering everyone together again, the side quests felt like we were seeing him build his experience to the hero he'd become later
I can see why people wouldn't like CS2 since the pacing is a bit all over the place since you have technically three endings and the middle half can feel a bit weak if you don't like doing the side quests
CS2 pushes the plot in many new directions for the second half so it really did feel like you're graduating from high school and stepping into the real world now
But CS3, I accidentally hooked him up with Laura, then wanted to see if I could pair up with anyone else still and got away with getting him with Emma and Alisa
CS4, I had Rean date multiple people but paired him with Alisa again just to be consistent and close the loop... My Rean was a manwhore but his heart came back to his first one
Towa is a wholesome girl all around... She had a great dynamic with Rean throughout the games and she doesn't have a batshit background, no crazy family bloodline linked to prophecies
Apparently they were also playing with the idea of having the anime being focused on Crow and his adventure in Jurai... And that could've been really interesting since we still haven't seen Jurai
In spite of being NW themed, the game is a general Trails gacha seemingly, the pre registration bonus is Elie. So who knows what story in that thing will actually entail.
As with Akatsuki no Kiseki though they’ve been really reluctant to make mobile game stuff hard necessary canon so that makes it even more bizarre and I have no idea what they’re doing
