[birds] I love that I live in a place with a lot of geese around

there's definitely more during the migration periods

but there's enough water around here that they're flying over at least once a day

though I see them flying over less often that I see them beefing over turf in my backyard or in the park because I am right by the creek

The only water right nearby is the golf course pond and that's on another street

but in the summer the geese hang out there and yell at the dogs at one of the neighboring houses

there is a special kind of terror to be out on a walk and suddenly a gang of them will just waddle into my only path

I have not had that happen, at least

I give them space to walk by it is just very "oh there is suddenly a lot of you"

they can be intimidating in groups

lol, I live right across the street from a tiny lake where we have a year round population XD

there is a walking path around said lake, and usually people and geese cohabit peacefully, but once there are 20 pair of geese out there with 4-10 goslings apiece it gets a bit dodgy, and a lot of people stop walking

but I love having them there, and listening to them quietly honking away at each other at night
