[cats] Iโm making the bf call the vet tomorrow for Lucy because she has a lump on her chest thatโs getting a bit bigger and more solid. And obviously Iโm panicking and overthinking 8D

oof yeah best get it checked out

E.S. Levi
Always best to get lumps checked.

E.S. Levi
It could just be a cyst, but better safe than sorry.

It probably is. She had one under her armpit that went away and the vet said it happens since she was spayed late but still ;; sheโs my baby

She was around 9 years old when I got her spayed because her old vet wanted like $800~ to spay

สัss
Thatโs more like โhey my cat was NOT pediatrically spayed, thank youโ and thatโs a ridiculous amount

๐ป๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐ณ๐๐๐
yeah this new vet is great, she's not afraid of him at all and her old vet FUUCKING terrified her

๐ป๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐ณ๐๐๐
spaying was like $350-ish with him? And they let us split it into two payments over the month

๐ป๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐ณ๐๐๐
and part of that is they keep cats overnight on observation before releasing them to us

๐ป๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐ณ๐๐๐
they even call us when the cat wakes up from surgery

At night, that's more like a 55 year old getting a hystro tbh, so 'late spay' makes sense. But honestly the price is a part of why I always go to high volume spay/neuter clinics on top of them just being so much more experienced

E.S. Levi
Mm, I went to a place like that, got my cat spayed for $80, and there wasn't a single issue with the recovery.

StupidSexyVโ der
exactly! they do thousands a week, they have a metric fuckton of experience and that makes everything so much safer
