Negative CR is probably my favourite CR because it's so rare.

I find you can get into some more unique situations with it.

I'm also finding that after a decade of RP my least favourite type of thread is slice of life stuff. I want drama, danger, stakes and/or conflict

I wouldn't want to go completely without slice of life threads. Those can be fun and build relationships/characters really well, but they will never hold my interest as much as a verbal fist fight or a chase scene

Negative CR makes drama so much easier and it's usually a fun and wild trip

I'm still sad that Edna was never able to get a rise out of Vash. And she tried

Vash is hard to build negative CR with because he's so forgiving. Manji keeps trying to piss everyone off, but ends up with mostly positive CR anyway.

Then there's fucking Tim who came in swinging a negative CR bat for a bit, but has since calmed the fuck down

She did. She was up against 98 anime Vash too which is extra hard mode for negative CR

She didn't hit him or kill anyone, so maybe that wasn't hard enough

Yeah, you basically have to be a murder lover for Vash to really dislike anyone

Vash was so messy in Drift Fleet cause they like and respect each other but Vash's pacifism vs Hawke's pragmatism was a thing

Lol, I guess that's a good point! Vash is very good at having lopsided CR where he won't see it as negative but it is

Pushing a character from a viscous canon where murder is pretty commonplace and kind of just accepted is very fun

And just because I've been on a Trigun high since Jan I'm just going to share one of my favourite moments from the manga (one of many)

It's where they're up against enimes that Vash saved the life of 13 years ago. So if he had just let the bad guys die he and Wolfwood wouldn't be in this moment at all.

Vash knows his vision of peace isn't really obtainable by normal people deep down. Yet, he stubbornly keeps fighting for it to be true one day.

I also just really like the tired expression Nightow drew for Vash in those two close up pannels. He knows this lecture. There is no more surprise. Just a dull ache that he's having it again and then he's smiling almost immediately after because he's Vash and all he knows to do is smile and keep marching forward
