[Healthstuff] So I got another diagnosis today.

My gp sent me on to get checked for pcos because of some of the things she saw on my labs and lo and behold there are many many cysts. 30+ on the left and 25+ on the right.

In addition to other stuff that means I have pcos. So now I have a bunch more tests, blood draws over 4 weeks to check my estrogen levels and so on and then we meet again afterwards.

I ... don't know how I feel

I got one scan done and the doctor said "ah, you have multiple ovarian cysts. it's PCOS."

I don't think I've ever had my estrogen levels checked

incidentally, I do have PCOS also, if you have questions or just want to talk

Yeah according to the gyno there are 3 criteria to have pcos, one of which is the multiple cysts (more than 20 on one side), one is less than 8 periods a year, or androgen stuff

And if you have 2 or more you have pcos

I have all 3

hmm. I guess they probably counted the body hair thing, I remember my GP asking about that
