chicago science and industry museum opened a Pompeii exhibit and today I can get in for free and I'm SO STOKED

update: the pompeii exhibit ruled, and i bought a book about it

they also had a section that was dedicated to gladiators and had artifacts and full INTACT helmets that were actually used and i was losing it. there were other things there that had never actually left italy before. i love history so much.

one day i might write historical fiction thing around gladiators, i just think theyre interesting
