2) They’re hopping from inn to inn, road to road, ship to ship on an Adventure. Of course she hates it. Some of the towns are okay but part of her wants to go home.

Gosh. 14 the only thing I can think of is being from a way, way more conservative and rich family and having to fight that much harder to overcome even worse shame about who they are. They have much more to lose this way. Chasidic Deedee.

7: Deedee is a college dropout with a smattering of higher education in topics that interested her; her knowledge is broad but seldom deep. They struggled mightily with homework - breezed through high school on smart, then couldn't do the work in college.

9: In addition to native English, Deedee speaks Korean, some Japanese, Spanish and Yiddish, and can read liturgical Hebrew.
