Good Idea: Going all out during auditions to make a good impression on the director.
Bad Idea: Going all out during the dance portion of auditions when you're 51 and not used to doing burlesque dance moves.

(^･ｪ･^))ﾉ彡☆ : At this point the hard part is over, and nothing's broken. Promise. And the show happens later in the year, so if I'm fortunate enough to be cast it will have no bearing whatsoever on the next month.

MINI-UPDATE: I'm not yet allowed to say what part, but I just got the director's email and I HAVE BEEN CAST. Let's just say that my part could be described as "...one from the vaults."

One unfortunate consequence is that this rules me out for Nekocon. One of the show weekends is the first weekend in November. But it's a tradeoff I'll take.
