Maybe I should watch a let's play of Ikenfall. I like the story and characters but the gameplay just doesn't click with me.

Doesn’t Ikenfall have some rhythm based gameplay?

It has timing based button pressing to better defend against attacks and do better attacks

There are option settings to automatically succeed at the button presses

I wonder if there are sound based cuing for the correct button timing though. I would never know.
