Mort is the first discworld book that feels like a modern discworld book

And honestly one of my favorites

I like the slow buildup across the entire book

Of everyone calling Mort “boy”

And he automatically corrects them every time

And no one ever reacts to it to the point that you, the reader, stop paying attention to it too

Until the finale when he start yelling at Death

It’s a good moment
