I know it looks crazy expensive, but, for example, I’ve had to throw out a lot of celery because it goes bad faster than I can use it. It’s hard to cook for one, especially since my freezer is so tiny!

I hope I can use the dehydrated sliced potatoes for Dutch fried potatoes.

If I like the spaghetti I’ll buy a # 10 can, which is cheaper per serving.

At any rate, I’ll save money if I don’t have to order in so much.

Once you open the can you need to use it within a certain amount of time. There are companies that offer smaller packages that might work out better & yeah, those are stupid expensive! Hope you can find a cheaper source! Amazon is not the place to look for it though

Some good survival foods to have on hand are butter & peanut butter. Both of these things have to be done commercially. The fat content in the butter takes a special technique to freeze dry. Fruit is also good.

say, Grace#🟦 : I alway have butter in my freezer. Unfortunately peanut butter is one of the foods that can kill me (I have trouble swallowing it). I have a long food wish list for prepper food, depending on how the first items work out.

I think I’ll focus on individual ingredients since I’m so sensitive to food.

I buy unsalted butter sticks and freeze them, then take one stick out at a time. I’m also looking for good ghee (clarified butter), but the quality sometimes isn’t great, despite the fact that this is a South Asian area.
