It can do a lot of things, but what we were using it for was for a quick way to count up survey result questions.

She does this podcast for nurses and had a load of questions like "Audio quality, rate it 1-5, with 5 being excellent" and "likelihood of you usnig what you learned in a practice"

I had no idea that a pivot table was excel related, so I was legit thinking you showed her some kind of furniture and she was overjoyed she didn't have to make it herself

And so it was a lot of people giving a lot of varied answers, but what you can use a pivot table for is to grab a count of all those answers in a nice, neat chart of "Hey, 5 thought it was unsatisfactory, fifteen people thought it was excellent, 2 said other"
