what really got me so far is like

okay so there's a part where Asbel, Cheria, and Sophie are cleaning up around Aston's grave and Asbel mentions that he'd asked Hubert (via letter) to come join them, but Hubert said he was too busy

in the next track Hubert is thinking about that letter and is wondering if Asbel is mad that he didn't come

but also that if he goes back to Lhant at a time like this (where not only is he dealing with the pressure of marrying Paradine's daughter but also the potential of a promotion he doesn't think he wants, one where he's being tested publicly for it) he's....not sure if he'd be able to make himself come back to Strahta
