I' m waiting eagerly for 30 second sound uploads. I'm not sure if it is out yet but I hope to have it soon. Supposedly it should roll out along with sound script updates this week.

One of the projects we have lined up is an environmental sound system, but layered in a way where it doesnt sound obviously looped. We tested it in bassett town and it was exciting

and also excited about your sound system too I hope its something I can end up buying for my place, I bought a ton of sounds and ambience packs for it but I haven't set them up yet because idk how to script and didn't realize they didn't just come with it so that also... lol.

Ziekel : yep! Also sound emitters in child prims/link sets too. So if you have a linked house and you want the doors to make a noise on open and close, you no longer have to put a script in each door!

ohhh wow this will be really nice for lag too because I wanted to do windy tree sounds too omg

This is going to be great, I also wanted to do an ambient rain area like I do at my private home and sometimes those can skip or be laggy when they are playing like full 2 minute sequence etc. aaaaaaaaa

HA. I got into SL when I worked for a music remixing website. We wanted to make some CC-licensed music toys in there, but all the clips needed to be vivisected and it just was too clunky. Glad to know they're finally getting around to this in the YOOL 2023. SO fun!

thaumata: I am so excited, we were restricted to certain time signatures that hopefully didn't get cut by the 10 sec limit too jankily. Now I can make a proper system with more 'backing' sound loops for machinery to add to it instead of combining it with the music themselves.
