it's the last day of january soooo prequel update

this was last night's total word count

and we should have a few more thousand words today so that's probably 45K for the writing challenge

well done!!

thus we decided last night to split it into a duology

we were already considering it, pending how long it ends up becoming, and there's still a good chunk we need to write (this month) mostly for the second half so we just decided to split the thing into two novellas hahaha

i've already asked my brother to help with the covers to make sure they match, though i'll also be poking around canva since i lucked out with the previous attempt

we haven't decided on the release date yet but it's definitely within the first half of the year, since hotel fen 2 is out by august and book 3 by october. you don't need to read the prequel for the trilogy, but the novellas will answer some questions hahaha

(and, well, hodr shows up in book 2. it's in the blurb LOL)

i don’t have a recommended reading order at this point but one thing to consider is that the trilogy and the prequel are from entirely different POVs, with the equivalent timeline of... GoT and HotD. "present day" and "a long long time ago" lol
