: pretty much! we are what’s called respite care. She’s already living with a foster family with a lot of kids but a lot of time the kids like 1 on 1 attention or the parent needs a break or the kid needs a break. They can’t sleep over a house as a foster kid unless the sleepover parent is trained by DCF and we are gonna be that resource for a bit

Yeah, they actually just recently made it a law in my state that each family gets ten days of respite a year

But a lot of families can’t or don’t take teenagers so we are In Demand and I think I prefer older kids who understand the system better anyway
