Uuuuuugh...accidentally popped off a crown last night, went to the dentist to have that fixed today, and uh.

This dentist could not get me numb to save his soul

Like I lost track of how many stabs and at the end just white knuckled it because if you couldn't get that part of my jaw completely numb yet, more stabs isn't gonna help

with the end result being my jaw is sore as hell and half my fucking mouth is numb because he was just trying everywhere

goddamn

I know I can technically eat now, but

let's just say that accidentally chewing a hole in your cheek is the sort of mistake you only make once.

so I'm not even going to attempt anything until I can feel everything again

I am SO sorry, that’s just awful

it continues to boggle my mind how the most pain-free, easy dental procedure I've ever had is the one that most people dread and it's everything else that goes some level of wrong

But the fucking root canal? Never felt a thing.

(though I did have to watch him do it, because that dentist used glasses with big magnifying lenses and I literally watched him do it like it was a mirror, it was weird but totally painless)

My mom is also cursed with this problem. 🪦
