I had to go to the NVIDIA site to download it directly and it restarted my system. It might not install directly through the NVIDIA experience portal for you.

I got it through experience and it didnt restart the PC.

I just link it here for people who want to immediately download cause they dont use experience.

The download kept failing through my experience portal so I had to google how to download it. They suggested going to the website and that worked.

It failed once for me some months ago and I uninstalled Experience and reinstalled. No idea if that fixed a problem, but it didn't occur again.

That is another option. I could try uninstalling Experience next time.

Or also you could try to log out and back into it again. Maybe it got confused.
