[Chained Echoes] hit credits~! 57 hours in. thoughts within, will obviously contain spoilers. but tldr, game good.

honestly the biggest letdown for me was the ending

i think it MAYBE would've worked better if kylian had been less of a raging asshole from end of act 1 to endgame AND if they'd actually shown glenn buckling under the weight of his previous lives and how goddamn tired he is

but it feels just... really unfair, and in a bad way, that fucking KYLIAN got to live and glenn didn't

other than that, though, it was sweet. i really liked the credits epilogue, and also the confirmation that yes, sienna and eva DID get back together

it was just, like.

an overall brilliant game throughout

it's SUCH a labor of love, you can see that, like, not an inch was given to make it more popular or whatever

but also GOD I AM SO GLAD TO BE DONE AND ABLE TO PLAY OTHER GAMES NOW

and also to be finished with it so that i'll no longer give my poor brother grief by staying up super late playing it,

this is one of the rare few games where i actively really, REALLY want a sequel

i want to see ba'thraaz's adventures as he looks for a cure for the curse! i want to see sienna and eva in the same party! there is SO MUCH of eldrea and we basically know nothing about it!

hell, we STILL don't know what's up with the harbinger, or how much the vaen were concealing about it!
