貓停了: the cat stops -> the cat freezes. 停 = stop / freeze / pause 之類 我開始講話：I start speaking -> I begin to speak 他不見了：he disappeared -> he vanished / dipped out / ghosted me （當然你要很清楚每個字有什麼微小的不同）
我們對待這個錯誤非常認真: We take this error seriously. -> extremely seriously 偷偷潛入他的房間我好緊張：It is pretty intense to sneak into he bedroom ( 捨棄用nervous + 用it is 開頭而不用i think it is / i feel nervous...... + 加個 pretty) 這個議題，一個重要的東西是：The important thing is -> The key (issue) is / The key element is ...... 之類
名詞方面： 不要用太多thing。其他常用、萬用、不太specific的noun有：matter, issue, point, element, component ……
或者把你想描述的物件名詞化，例如比起你說：我女朋友買了一個東西回來，你會直接說她買了個蘋果 / 柚子回來。英語也一樣。 我想說一個東西：One thing I would like to talk about it is … -> One issue / point I would like to talk about is …

今天的主題是 如何更地道。
因為覺得自己的英語太彆扭、奇怪、冗贅、太多 i think、太中式。
所以這幾天研究了一下，寫了篇隨筆。
今天的筆記比較長 + 亂。
大概是看得懂就懂，看不懂就不懂看到一個有趣的討論，非英語母語者在能用一個verb時，會比較少用phrasal verb。例如 用”continue" 多過 "go on" 。母語者就會用phrasal verb比較多。
所以用多點phrasal verbs會比較native、表達也比較精確。
例如:
我有一個計畫：I have a plan -> I come up with a plan
那個女人只是為了錢：She wants money -> She is after money
我他媽不幹了：可以說 I am off / I am done / I quit.
這個包含兩個意思，一個是句子的組合，另一個是字詞的選擇。
句子組合方面，我發現自己用太多i think xxxx的句式，在看討論區 / 看影片時，可以多留意別人是如何開啟一個句子，只留意頭1/2個單字就可以了。
例如把想說的東西放最前面，把 ”I think“ 刪除:
I think he is handsome -> He is handsome.
I think it is sunny today -> Today is sunny / the weather is pretty nice.
可能有點抽象，把想說的東西 / 把東西名詞化放在前面真的蠻有用的。
例如：

字詞的選擇方面，如何表達東西更準確和具體，只能靠多看和多聽。通常不是不懂這個單字，而是沒有慣用/不知道可以這樣用。
一個有用的觀念是：英語流暢的人都是好的storyteller，They are good at storytelling。
用其他更合適和具象的動詞。
