One of my least favorite feelings is the feeling that someone is deliberately ignoring me

While I’m trying to interact with them

Like

I’m rolling along at stress level 0%

Someone does something mildly annoying

Me, stress level at 5%: “oh, could you do this this way instead? It’s more convenient for me.”

Them: /continues doing the slightly annoying thing without any indication I exist.

Me: /stress level IMMEDIATELY shoots up to 100% and I react like a crazy person

Them: “the fuck is wrong with you?”

I don’t know what the fuck is wrong with YOU?

Are you not aware of other people???

I don’t expect people to accommodate me at all times

I do expect people to acknowledge I exist while I’m trying to talk to them

oh, god, yeah, I hate that shit too

Some guy was putting pennies down on the counter instead of into my hand. It’s slightly annoying because then I have to pick UP pennies one at a time and they’re kinda stuck to the counter so I gotta dick my fingernails under them to get them up

It’s the SMALLEST POSSIBLE problem

But I was like “sir could you- please just- stop. Stop. Stop! STOP!!!”

Until I’m literally yelling at someone over nine cents

It’s so fucking stupid but I was too angry to think clearly for the next half hour

Oh jeez, yeah, that can get incredibly frustrating.
