Star rating is borked but it's a four (three and a half really, rounded up)

it's a quiet story with a well drawn protagonist. HerPOV was occasionally painful to be in but that's from her accurately portrayed anxiety

interesting worldbuilding and I see what the author was going for with not just imposing our perception of gender on a secondary world but it did add up to just a few too many invented words especially when they seemed to be de-gendering words that aren't really gendered (person, human)

I suspect I wouldn't have noticed if there weren't already a lot of invented words where maybe it would have been better to just use existing terms like vehicle rather than moveroom
