having a few years in New England feels like it helped me just kind of shrug off most of what this winter is doing in WA

weather warning, freezing rain, I'll probably wear an extra hat (i.e. wear one at all) to cover my ears, but I'll still be walking to work

that said I'm walking through downtown Bellingham where the sidewalks, while covered with snow, mostly had an initial shoveling from the good people of Sunnyland

not gonna end up stranded

There is terrible ice in seattle

Like 1/4 inch of ice glazed on the roads

Tried driving, made it like 400 feet before gently kissing the neighbors bumper on a hill

once I went out, yeah conditions are the worst I've ever seen

yeah, I'm in Mountlake Terrace and I haven't left the house since Thursday because the ice got so bad

today with temps in the 40s/50s and raining feels downright balmy.

still ice in patches on the smaller side roads and the sidewalks are gross, but a lot of it melting and likely mostly clear in Bellingham by tomorrow at this rate

I'm fine with this. the ice just made everything so difficult
