They released version 1.0 of The Force Engine today, a reverse engineered and rebuilt version of the game engine Dark Forces and Outlaws ran on. Dark Forces is now 100% supported, has hi-res and widescreen support, mod support, mouselook, aiming reticles, autorun, improved NPC AI, optional new save system, keybinding, etc.

Outlaws is not yet supported, but it's the next project.

You'll need a legal copy of Dark Forces to play (but Steam and GoG versions both work for it.)

All QoL improvements are optional, so you can just run it as originally designed, in 320x200 resolution, but with a higher framerate.
