Why doesn't 60 minutes or someone take a Flat Earther on a flight from NYC to Tokyo and let them look out the window? Even better, Air Force guest ride in SR-71?

I actually considered something like that in the early 70s, when I was in high school. I eventually rejected the thought experiment.

at some point in my life, i tried to read some of these articles that said why the earth is flat... some of it were plain stupid, but a few was actually quite interesting. i still think the earth is a globe also that part about truman show, that should be the effect of the movie, since i had that thought too after watching it

I’ve had a ‘chat’ with someone who thought the Smithsonian was destroying dinosaur bones to hide the truth, archaeologists were pathetic robbers & there was never a lunar landing

Aye, but the problem with that, ever how the previous curators procured the pieces, means that people now will no longer be able to see works of art from across the globe. Rather they will only be showing local pieces. That itself is a travesty of knowledge

The only problem with traveling exhibitions is they usually only go to the large metropolitan areas, leaving out much of the country from seeing them

I think part of the problem is that schools don't teach critical thinking, logic, or research skills. Plus they do teach relativism, and make the kids embrace ideas that are clearly not true. Add the interwebs and it's a very confusing time to be young.
