[harvestella] a side quest I did:

-people are being kidnapped! oh noes! and for some reason the thing the victims all have in common are... they're sneezing a lot?

-someone saw the culprit! it's an Omen, who have been established as weird, alienlike beings in power armor that mostly everyone assumes are dangerous. that's bad!

-track down the Omen and they admit they're behind kidnappings, but it's for a good reason! they need sneezing people for their important research

-they're researching a cure for a dangerous illness called... HAY FEVER

-it causes people much grief and pain, you know, and there's no known cure, and this Omen wants to eradicate it before it can cause more suffering!

I thought it was really cute

(also the solution is you have to collect a rare and mysterious ingredient called antihistamine from a dungeon to help with the research)

shortly after I got another sidequest where I had to help another Omen return a lost kid to his parents. The Omen didn't want to scare anyone in the village so he sent an anonymous letter to me saying he "had the child" hoping i would come investigate

turns out these superpowered armored aliens are the equivalent of being too anxious to order pizza on the phone
