Heart's level progression is like, every session you pick two entries from a list of story beats and tell your GM "I want these included for my character dev" and they Have To include some way for them to happen by the end of session. I think pacing it around those would work best

every (heart)beat you complete you unlock another class abilities. minor beats are easier to do, major beats give stronger abilities, and your zenith beats are culmination of you character and marks the end of your characters journey. zeniths abilities typical retire, kill, or Worse your character upon activation but they fundamentally change the gameworld
