Finally got around to make the Sakura wagashi on our engagement anniversary! 🌸

Tom reckons its texture and taste are both quite similar to marzipan and he’s fine with it. Unfortunately I don’t like mazipan and think they tastes like overly sweet Sakura flavoured play dough 😂
