Me: someday I’d like to go to Disney world but the prices are insane. The only time I went was when I was seven but I remember it. I’d like to take any kids there but the prices for a hotel are like $800 a night.

Sergio: my family went a few times and we didn’t pay anything

Me: how did you swing that?

Sergio: we brought the RV and went camping near there. It’s not so bad. I think the worst part is digging your own hole to poop in.

We did a vacation rental in orlando. Went in on a three bedroom house with another family. It was a lot more reasonable.

Plus the house had a pool.

There’s also a Disney campground that has the buses and everything and if you bring your own RV and stuff iirc it’s not that pricey at all

I've gone to Disney almost every year I've been alive and have only stayed at an actual Disney hotel once. There are plenty of really nice hotels a few minutes' away from Disney property that are a fraction of the price, and many of them have a free shuttle to the parks

Actual Disney World tickets are expensive, yeah, and their food/merch is stupidly overpriced, but you can pack your own snacks and bring a big bottle of water to refill at water fountains and save yourself even more money. The ticket prices are the main killer, though.

Totally. But that's really good to know! I figured there had to be a middle ground between "this or braces" and "poop in a hole you dig yourself"
