[ffvii] I think I inadvertently go here now?

vampiricist
Or at least I'm watching Advent Children and will probably enjoy it enough to explore more of the game. Crisis Core, for sure

as someone who loves all ff7: ff7r is in a weird area of seemingly acknowledging the events of the original game (and advent children, for that matter) as already having happened. it's extremely trippy and while you can definitely play it before the OG, it has a lot of moments that end up really jarring and deliberately uncomfortable if you're

ѕυnɗerlanɗ°
already familiar with it

ѕυnɗerlanɗ°
the good news is though that ff7r2 isn't anywhere near being released lol

IT'S A GOOD PLACE TO GO

i'd also suggest to play OG before the remake!

yeah FF7R has better impact if you're already familiar

vampiricist
I'll probably to Critical Core, OG, FF7R

mari lwyd
I say this as a bitch who never finished OG and absorbed the plot through fanfic

mari lwyd
I never got out of Midgar lol

hahaha

IMDb Cooper
ohhhh hell yes! I love the original game. I never got that attached to any of the spin-offs, but CC has some fun stuff for sure

IMDb Cooper
the original is just like. imo. so much bigger and weirder and more mindfucky than the spin-offs (or its chunky 90s lego baby graphics) would lead you to believe, lol

yeah, FF7 is beloved for a reason. it's blocky graphics actually do a lot to make profoundly fucked up things momentarily hard to decipher
