tried making them a year or so ago when my favorite taco place closed, and wasn't impressed because i wasn't frying the tortillas (none of the restaurant versions i've had fry them and i like them just fine! but something about the grocery story varieties were no bueno)

but then a couple months ago i decided to actually follow the directions on the package and fry them in a little oil, and it was a game changer

Well, the fish was leftover cod, is the thing; the taco shells were store-bought, but still good.

sometimes just toasting the tortillas on both sides in a dry skillet helps the taste too

it's pretty easy! especially my version which is just

Your version sounds like a "safe" one lol. I have trouble with convincing my brain that a new seafood might taste awesome. It's so dumb

oh same, my seafood palate is very narrow for a new englander

white fish, shrimp, chowder, and salmon (a new addition!); that's pretty much it

Salmon, tuna, shrimp, clams very specifically in clam chowder (but I will pick out anything too big), and scallops...
