fomorian : I have a copy of the original and I just listened to the 2022 remastered version. It sound pretty much the same. But to my ears, they brought out some parts that were buried in the background before. You can make out more voices in the background choir vocals, I didn't know there was an acoustic guitar in the mix before.

hm. interesting, maybe i should listen to it with modern days earphones

and the piano notes are much more distinct. You can hear more parts, but I think the 3 dimensions of soundstaging are lost. Sounds much more like a digital recording now.
