Varis' are all symbols of Aphrodite, other than the chain with coins on them. That's my own addition to the world.

The idea is that in this world, the temple of Aphrodite treats everybody kindly and equally, including offering homeless shelters in some places.

So I took a page from some old medieval traditions where people would wear jewelry so that they could offer something to those in need.

So Varis has the necklace with coins. And several bangles that they can offer to somebody who needs a hand.

(They've also used some of the bangles in a blessing ceremony over two people who are in love.)
