[venting, gross customer interaction] Had the police called at work on my shift.

A dude was handling his genitals in front of me and another student worker, I let staff member know, the police showed up, they spoke to him after finding him and he told them it was culturally normal.

He was not actually showing dick and balls but his belt was splayed open, fly and buttons were totally undone and his hand was in it the whole time while talking to us. Like. Not down his underwear but pretty blatantly handling himself.

I have known plenty of dudes from the country he said he was from and none of them have fucking done that.

I have also seen dudes adjust themselves in public/in front of others and it does not take that fucking long and would not last the whole customer service interaction.

Culturally normal.

He claimed he was just fixing himself and that is normal to do in front of others.

The student assistant who was at the desk didn't immediately notice and didn't have the full frontage.

Like. I was also just getting funky vibes too and held off on bringing it up or calling staff over until the interaction was done because I did not want to risk escalation.

Like. I did not appreciate getting referred to as a victim when the police came up or particularly want police things to occur but like... going at his word that it was a cultural difference...
