there was a Pet Valu down the road where I used to take Zack before the pandemic (it has since, sadly, closed), and once I walked in without him and the staff were all heartbroken that I hadn't brought him with me

I usually ended up just leaving him on the front counter with them to hang out while I shopped XD

he was a joy and a lovely fuzzy friend
