The girls are wondering who that handsome, sharp-dressed man might be! People certainly dressed more stylishly in earlier generations.

Grandpa seems to be giving the girls an approving appraisal, as well!

also, they dressed up for pictures. Then again in the fifties and earlier, a photograph was something exceptional, a special occasion.
