gotta love that early morning anxiety because your manager has voluntold me for a project because it's vaguely related to the database I'm in charge of

especially when I already have an all-day project

plus a morning meeting

And she's the kind of manager who just says that I can do things whether or not I actually can, generally I can, but she doesn't explain to me what the project is just hands it off

So I'm sitting here looking at Excel spreadsheet full of percentages and categories that I know Jack all about, trying to figure out how it relates to the database and the stuff that I do know and/or have control over

and to top it all off she's getting on a plane and won't be available until 2:00 p.m. and this is an urgent project

keeping in mind that any other project she hands me is also an urgent project and needs to be prioritized, she's that kind of manager

And then the other person who's trying to help just keeps repeating what's already been said, I'm happy to help, I really am, but I need actual instructions, people

oh my God what they want me to do is so fuckin simple. All they had to do was say "add a column to the spreadsheet, put this number from this place into it"
