Didn't get to play as much as I like, right now I am ham-handed at it and being yellow hurts my eyes. When can I change to a less eye searing color?

If you're doing turf wars, your color will be randomized each match. If you're doing story mode... yellow's the default on the hub unfortunately, but each level will have its own colors.
