Just remembered Reggie Hudlin's godawful run on Black Panther.
Platinum
(Y'know, the one where he trawled comic forums and used sock puppet accounts to insult and attack anyone who didn't like it as a racist.)

Thankfully, the only lasting legacy of that are Shuri (who's now a totally different character thanks to the MCU bleeding through) and the stupid T'Challa/Storm romance. Black Panther writers love to keep returning to the romance, but X-writers seem to hate it.

(Hudlin's also the guy who revealed that Wakanda had the cure for cancer, but refused to share it because they thought white people would just weaponize it somehow.)
Platinum
(Not a joke, the actual reason.)

Then there's retconning Storm to be less competent in her first-ever meeting with T'Challa (Originally, she rescued him from some bad guys and they didn't see each other again for years. Under Hudlin's pen, he rescued her in the exact same encounter, and they spent weeks having a romance that they rekindled as adults.)

And retconning a fight between T'Chaka and Captain America in WWII, where they fought equally well and became friends, into T'Chaka effortlessly stomping Cap into the dirt and lecturing him on how America is racist.

And having Doctor Doom give a speech on how Wakandans are better than other Africans because they clearly have a mutant strain of DNA that gives them superior intelligence.
