because if it's tall he would just flop at your feet and ask for cuddles and if it was tiny he would vanish into the void

hilariously tiny is actually less reactive than Tux

I'm not actually sure most of the time with Tux if she's actually scared or just extremely high-strung

but Tiny will freeze, hunker down, or do his conciliatory Big Stretch most of the time rather than just keep running

also he's better at actually running in a different direction when he does run

I want to talk a little more about his Conciliatory Big Stretch

he just. if you're approaching him or acknowledging his presence unexpectedly, he'll just kind of nervously bend down into the Big Stretch

sometimes multiple times

it's always when he's slightly nervous but doesn't actually want to run or hide

and I can only assume it's a mixture of self-soothing and conciliation

like he's trying to show you that he's not a threat because look, he's just stretchin, he don't want no trouble

and also reassure himself that you're not a threat because if you were, surely you wouldn't just let him do stretchies

but he's now tearing around the house like a lunatic playing chasey chase, so apparently no harm done

cats are a gift to this world. a menace, but a gift. when i had adora she absolutely could not figure out if i was play chasing her or just walking the same way and it led to her skidding into the kitchen and running into the pantry door so many times.
