First completed set of lounge pants for my wife.
ChefKarl
The pattern I purchased was way too big even though I used the correct sizing from the pattern size chart and markings.
ChefKarl
I had let this sit for over a year and have been researching and studying pants pattern drafting from actual measurements.
ChefKarl
I was able to salvage these but had to trim off 5 inches from the top to bring the crotch up and not have it halfway down the thigh, this made them 3/4 length instead of right above the ankle as originally intended.
ChefKarl
I also took off 7 inches off the waist as well.
ChefKarl
So salvaged and learned quite a bit.
ChefKarl
I used 3/4 inch elastic and accidentally had a twist in it when I sewed the ends together with two zigzag stitches. Those were fun to undo with the seam ripper.
ChefKarl
I will be drafting new patterns, but using the notch marking locations from the purchased pattern.

Wow, very nice. People who can sew and figure out how to fix things are amazing to me. I can hem and sew a button back on but that's it.

OMG these are so cute!

: thanks. My mom made sure I could sew by hand and by machine. She also made me take typing in 8th grade which helped me out when computers came along.
