Except that I contributed to a discussion of the contribution of the disabled in ancient societies, because they so often get regarded as "the tribe pitied them, or were very generous, or kind" and misses that they still gave a lot back to their people. Which is what a society is. People supposedly living together, supporting each other and contributing

Like, the elderly lady buried with honour and evidence of teeth cavities from sweet foods was not "pitied". She was a respected elder. She might have been paralysed from the waist, but she could tell stories, cook, watch children, teach the skills of her lifetime... contribution comes in SO mant forms.
