The thing that just makes me feel sad and tired is that one of those states is where my grandma was born. When she was a toddler in the early 30s, her mother had an incomplete third trimester miscarriage. The hospital made her wait until she was septic and close to dying before they would operate.

but my mom's a des daughter and she had a horrible topic pregnancy between me and my younger sister and this is on top of a miscarriage two premature births in the early '70s that were greater than 3 months early going into labor 20 weeks with me and my twin losing my twin keeping me in an emergency C-section with my little sister
yeah under these my mom would have died between me and my sister and that would have left my dad with a severe TBI and a pretty severe drug addiction raising a two-year-old who was developmentally delayed due to premature birth

its well established that all patients have better outcomes with female doctors than male doctors and despite her being sent to the emergency room straight from her obgyn's office I highly suspect this is a case of a male doctor diagnosing a patient with "female"
I Know This only affects Ohio, but there are numerous small towns where trains blocking the roads are Crossings effectively block any incoming or outgoing traffic. I grew up in one of these towns. well Village. I can personally test that there was at one point where it took an ambulance over 45 minutes to respond to a cardiac arrest that was less than a mile
Not even just small towns. I live in a big city, and our main thoroughfare has a railroad crossing. Sometimes freight trains will just sit there in the middle of the road for gods know what reason.
I live near a train yard in Los Angeles and I will often take the slightly longer route because I know that road goes under the tracks instead of being a crossing, to avoid the off chance of being stuck
