hey guys what are the good drawing apps for ipads? i'm getting a new one [2021 pro] and an apple pen

(basically for free as well. though disability >>;; )

Ibis paint is what I use

some brushes are locked behind paywall but you can literally watch an ad that lets you have them free for 18hr

i use it on my phone, it's nice

i'll try it out!

(i mostly use SAI on my pc for context. also clip studio isnt an option because fuck subs)

Procreate is my go-to

That, adobe, and clip studio are the big ones tbh

I would say procreate is the best bet if you don't want to pay a sub and just want a one-time fee. I feel like the desktop equivalent to it is probably Painter? There's a lot of free brushes available as well and there's the replay function for process videos.

And honestly, even the default brushes are good and you have a more robust brush editing system compared to say adobe.

Am I a simp for Procreate? Absolutely. I think it's probably become one of the standards for ipads

Also with a pro it'll definitely run smoothly (Not that it doesn't on regular ipads) - I have an older ipad model and it works just fine
