i can only assume that the reason none of you are posting about Cult Of The Lamb with glowing praise is because you are all busy playing it

it's adorable and DARK and i love it forever

the character design is so good..... i want to be the little lamb for halloween..... so cute....

it's like animal crossing except everyone on the island worships you and you can sacrifice anyone you want. also you can make them eat bowls of poop.

the combat is really simplistic, there's a melee/weapon attack, a magic attack, and a dodge roll

and a system where you draw tarot cards for extra stuff like doing poison damage on hit or better luck with chests

there's LOTS of different types of randomized dungeon rooms so every run is going to be super different and worth doing

you get a different weapon on every run, it's randomized and the more you level up your stuff the more different weapons you have access to so it's always changing it up

it's a really cool roguelike in that regard, even though it's pretty simplistic, a lot of it is just trying not to get hit

along the way you can rescue/purchase (don't ask) cultists who you can change their animal type upon recruitment but their traits are random, they can be easier/harder to gain faith, easier/harder to get sick, etc.

also you can unlock special animal types for them like capybaras and fennec foxes :3c and each region you do runs in has different animals available so it's a fun collectibles system

also there's a TON of fun decor items available and path styles so you can customize your li'l village

there's FARMING which as you know i love

remembering to build outhouses so your guys aren't shitting in the grass like animals is important

i confess i have been pretty distracted by a diff game (growing my grandpa). however: intriguing

it is REALLY FUN and easy to learn
