I left late, because I 100% didn't want to come in today. Bed felt too good, and my brain is 100% in either write or clean mode.

funny enough traffic was kind so I still got in when I normally do. Go figure.

I'm almost 95% caught up on my work so it shouldn't be a too stressful day. I'm knocking on wood as I say this.

on a sad note, someone really cranked the department's toaster and I didn't notice so some of my bagel is burned. luckily I have lots of cream cheese.

The DH just had her assistant schedule me for 30 minutes with the two Bridge to Faculty Post-Doc new hires. to talk about what I do - which can be summed up in one fucking sentence. "If you do cool shit like awards, presentations, publications, send it to me so I can post about it." That's it. That's my what I do.

I was the one constantly emailing her to get her shit in so she could graduate and actually move into this new position. we know each other well. we don't need 30 minutes
