Character Zodiacs

Harry’s birthday is coming within days now (July 31), so he is definitely a Leo.

Anya’s RL birthday is on June 18, so she is a Gemini.

Lena was said to be born on late August despite having a due date in September. That would make her a Virgo.

Isabela’s birthday is on August 7, a Leo for sure.

Strangely, I don’t have a character who has a water sign just yet. Oh well, we shall see.

And here is something fun, Chinese zodiac! Harry was born in 1980, which is the Year of the Monkey and so is film!Anya who was 18 in 1926. RL Anya was an Ox (1901).

If I have to use the publishing year of Lena’s books, 2001, she would have been an Ox.

My current guess on Lena’s birthday is probably 1985.

Isabela on the other hand, oh gee I have no clue what her Chinese zodiac is since Encanto has no definite year put in place compared to Princess and the Frog.

Clues include the 50 years when Abuela Alma received the encanto candle and the war that the Madrigals had to flee from, which could be based on Colombia’s Thousand Days’ War. Which would set Encanto around late 1950s to early 1960s.

But as of now, I can’t make any definite guesses.

Okay, so I went back in to re-estimate the best possible year of Isabela’s birth. Consider the period of the Thousand Days’ War (1899-1902), it is possible that the film took place around in the 1950s. Which means Abeulo Pedro could died between 1900 and 1902, the year the war ended.

1902 + 50 = 1952. Subtract 21 years (Isa’s age) and I got 1931. So therefore it is possible that she could have gotten either Horse, Goat, or Monkey. Based on my best estimates, maybe she is a Goat?
