[RL] Long time no see! I have come by because I have an interesting "That moment when" for today!

That moment when you see a new eye doctor and he debunks your 21-year-old diagnosis and gives you a new one that's tied to your other intertwined health conditions...after looking at two pictures of your eyes.

Oh?!?

Yup. At age 15 I was diagnosed with rod-cone dystrophy, and he says I actually have dominant optic atrophy, which is a genetic condition that ties into other issues such as diabetes. hearing loss, and such. I happen to be insulin resistant, have some hearing loss in my left ear, and have a family history of PCOS.

And the PCOS is also tied to my insulin resistance. Which my heart doctor stressed that could be the cause of a lot of my health issue just by looking at my facial hair.

So it took a new doctor two minutes to realize and link something that only one of my current doctors did, and also tell me that I'm misdianosed.

And I can only be amused.

Sometimes it realy does just take the right doctor.

It does, but the biggest irony is that that revelation came from my two male doctors who don't specialize in my main health issue and not my primary in the Women's Integrated Services in Health clinic.

Also I missed you guys!

I just never really have anything to talk about so I haven't popped up.

I'm glad you got a more relevant and probable diagnosis! Is there anything to be done?

About my eyes, probably not. He's referring me to a neuro-ophthalmologist for the genetic test he was going to do because he feels that's the best way to get specific answers on what to expect,

And I have an appointment for my PCOS already lined p for later this month.

Niiice. I also am in a couple PBTA games, and running a LOT.

And in a pathfinder game that never runs.
